The Word
Maduna, Vusumuzi · 2005
Sculpture created in 2005 by Vusumuzi Maduna and Obie Simonis in Roxbury. Funded by the Edward I Browne Trust Fund, the abstract sculpture is attached to one of the outer walls of the Dudley Branch of the Boston Public Library. It features the "word" written in black against a white background, with other black, red, and white lines and shapes painted in enamel paint on stainless steel.
