Palladio Hall

A plaque by The Bostonian Society on Palladio Hall in Roxbury. Commemorating the historical building, the plaque reads: "Built in the late 1870s, Palladio Hall is a rare Boston example of an Italian Renaissance-style commercial block. It was designed and owned by Nathaniel J. Bradlee, on of the city's most prolific architects. Clad and ornamented in Ohio sandstone and detailed with cast-iron storefronts, the building's imposing presence is a visual anchor for Dudley Square. \ Palladio Hall has served as a commercial center and as a meeting place for community groups for generations; in the late 1990s, the building was restored to preserve it for future Bostonians."
