1995
Mural created by members of the BYCC Red Shirts in 1995. The "Red Shirts," were a group working for the Boston Youth Cleanup Corps. The mural is painted on the outside wall of the Roxbury Center for the Performing Arts located in Dorchester. A painted green and black base is painted onto the brick of the building. A large red T-shirt is depicted in the center with about eight first and last names written within the borders of the T-shirt. Above the shirt white painted words read, "This mural was painted by members of the BYCC Red Shirts." To the left of the red t-shirt yellow painted words read, "Please Do Not Tag This Mural - Thanks, the "Red Shirts." At the very bottom of the mural, under the red T-shirt, white painted words read "July 1995" and "Paid for by the City of Boston under Mayor Menino."
