Gustaf Trolle Bonde was a Swedish count, noted for his interest in art and literature. He became blind in old age. He is pictured with his eyes closed, a short haircut, wearing a suit jacket with a square cross medallion, possibly related to the Royal Academy of Sciences in Sweden of which he was a member.
