Two notable Dance classes in the Dallas area are profiled. Cristyne Lawson, dancer/choreographer gave a Master Class at the Dallas Black Dance Theater and then Nancy Chismar from New York's American Dance Machine lead a class at SMU. In addition to video of the classes both Nancy Chismar and Cristyne Lawson are interviewed in the KERA studio. In another story, the Artist Equity show at the James K. Wilson Gallery is showcased. Featuring a sculpture by Rowena Elkin, photographs from Linda Fennell, and color etchings from Susan Shields.The program is closed out with a montage of fireworks photos and patriotic animation set to "Stars and Stripes Forever". “Swank in the Arts” was KERA’s weekly in-depth arts television program.
