Unidentified audio recording of conference on Art and Art Therapy

This is a digital copy of a recording of a speaker or speakers at an unidentified conference, ca. 1960s. The digital copy is made from a magnetic reel to reel tape and, as digitized, is around 35 minutes in length. The vast majority of the recording seems to be of one or perhaps two speakers, with the main focus on art in terms of art therapy. The speaker(s) is not identified. The exact location of the conference is not known, though from statements made during the recording, it appears to have taken place at Columbia University. Through the first half of the recording, cars and traffic noise can be heard in the background. In addition, the recording has breaks and at points appears to skip around. Recording may be out of order chronologically. Many subjects are brought up, including benefits of working with clay in art therapy, the best way to teach art when doing art therapy, and the concept that process is most important aspect when using art as therapy. It is not known why this recording is within the Peter Karpovich Papers. No notes or other documents were found with the tape. Dr. Karpovich liked to draw and paint, and there are examples of his artwork within the collection.
