Resteröds Church is built in the 1100s. The sanctuary has left the original triumphal arch between the longhouse and the chancel, which is very unusual for medieval churches. The pulpit dates from 1576 and is executed in Renaissance style. The altarpiece, dating from 1681, is divided into two fields with pictures of Moses on the left and Christ on the right. The church has interesting ceiling paintings and paintings in the barrier. A large part of the bench interior dates from the 17th century. Particularly interesting is bench No. 5 on the women’s side. The Origia Canal for the Church’s Baptismal Found, which was made in the precious stone of the 1100s, is now in the Gothenburg Museum. Since 1920, a copy is used as a baptismal find in the church. In the 1800s, the interior of the church was painted entirely in white with the exception of the altar essay, the number board and the hourglass. In 1920, a major renovation was made, with the pulpit regaining its original colours. The church bell of 1663 is suspended in a belfry.
