The church of Bovallstrand was erected in 1916-17. The church had then cost SEK 7.246 to build. The interior design went at SEK 6.600 and the painting works DKK 1.495. The altarpiece and the choir’s four paintings of the evangelists have been executed by the artist K Lundstedt in 1934. The pulpit has four beautifully painted fields. A copy of Thorvaldsens Kristusbild is in the dip spot. The baptismal funnel is wooden with a fresh-silver baptismal bowl (1924). The Votive Ship, 1954, is a gift from the fisherman Görtz Hödén. The 10-tuned pipe organ was built by John Grönvall organ building in Lilla Edet in 1958. The choir houses an organ harmonium. The nighttime lime and the paten, dating from 1954, are of genuine silver. The same applies to the vine (1955), while the oblatash is of fresh silver. In the tower hangs a church bell that was cast in 1920. In 1939 the church was left with plot and inventory to Tossene-Hunnebostrand’s ecclesiastical coexistence. Source: “Our Churches p. 507.”
