The Kinna present church, erected in 1879, is located in the same place where the former medieval church was located. The exterior of the church is marked by time-typical Gothic elements - the tower with its sleek sprout, aspiring pillars and cultures, high pointed arched windows, etc. The interior has a quiet and dormant character thanks to the smooth, trimmed wooden barrel vault. In the sunny and well-made interior, the neo-Gothic strikes through. In the 1969-70 renovation, the interior of the church obtained a bright and warm coloration with rich elements of gilding. Two late medieval bells have been preserved from the old church, a Eucharist from 1793, a Mass in the 16th century, a bridal bench and various other small wooden fixtures. The open and inviting church room is dominated by the large framed altarpiece, an oil painting of Louis Frid from 1883. The original Molanderorgan from the church’s time of advent has been rebuilt and expanded on several occasions. It now comprises 36 lawsuits. Source: “Our Churches p. 520.”
