Cardboard with sewn-on sample beads numbers 19079 through 19186. Beads are smooth and opaque. Beads 19098 and 19096 were delivered to Nigeria._______________________________Fantasy and mosaic beads belong to the group of wound beads, the so-called lamp made beads. These beads are handmade. \The fantasy beads are made by winding glass around a knitting needle. The knitting needle is rolled between thumb and forefinger, giving the bead a nice round shape. Afterwards, colored glass sticks are used to make decorations. If the bead is still liquid, the decoration melts into it, otherwise it solidifies halfway up the bead. The beads can be moulded into different shapes when the glass mass has not yet become completely solid.mosaic beads are wound around a piece of copper wire using glass tongs, after which the copper wire is pulled out. This creates the hole in the bead. The pattern in the bead is created by inlaid and fused mosaics. This is a very labour intensive process.
