Cardboard with sewn-on sample beads numbers 12680 through 12743. The beads are dull and opaque. Bead 12741 was widely supplied to Ghana.Manufacture Mosaic beads belong to the group of wound beads, the so-called lamp made beads. These are made by hand. \Glass is wound around a piece of copper wire using pliers, after which the copper wire is pulled out. This creates the hole in the bead. The pattern in the bead is created by inlaid and melted mosaics. This is a very labour intensive process.
