On the cloth, in Arabic, is a quote from the Koran: \"That man may receive only what he has pursued." (Qur'an 53:39).‖ This cloth was a diplomatic gift and was never used, but rugs with Qur'anic quotes were commonly hung as decorations in the homes of wealthy families (Bowker 2014: 73).
