Fragment of a copper alloy miniature shield. The fragment is flat and undecorated, and in two pieces. There are no original edges surviving and it is impossible to say what shape the shield originally was.Miniature shields are difficult to date although they are thought to range from circa 400BC to the mid-late 1st century AD.
