Possible miniature sword. The sword has a thin iron handle with a slightly widened hilt with copper alloy deposits. The sword blade widens towards the end then comes to a point at the tip. The blade is heavily corroded but on one side appears to have some incised linear decoration (which looks like the image of a small dagger or sword). The object weighs 2.49g and measures 37mm in length, 9.7mm in width and 3.1mm in thickness.Several miniature ex-voto finds including swords and weapons similar to this have been recorded from the site of Argentomagus in France. The swords at this site occur in a mid 1st century context but are about twice the size of this example, although comparable in overall shape.
