Lead miniature axe head. Cast wedge-shaped object with a drilled hole at its wider end, probably worn to a length of 4mm. Patinated overall and chipped at the cutting edge. This object may have been worn as a pendant amulet, though miniature weapons are also associated with, and were perhaps hung up at, shrines and temple sites. This object resembles a carpenter's axe. Suggested date: Roman, 43-410.Length: 24.5mm, Height: 7.6mm, Thickness: 8.03gms, Weight: 6.05gms.
