Founder of my hometown. As a child, heard he was hung for horse stealing. Not sure of the truth of the story, but Mr. Hodges probably would have become the town’s founder if this story was known to be true in the late 1860s. We would have been known as Hodgeville, a name I don’t think I could have lived with.
