Soushan Tu (literally, "picture of a mountain search"), also known in English as " Searching the Mountains for Demons ", " Clearing Out a Mountain Forest " or " Searching for Demons in Mount Guankou " is a mythical painting subject in ancient China, showing a throng of demon-like heavenly warriors led by Erlang Shen searching wooded mountains for monsters, who appear as animals or humans with animal features, or disguised as women.
