Peasant painting on the upper linen fabric of an unusually early type - the oldest known sydsvenska bonadspainting due to the depicted costumes dating to 1630-40 (Bringeus 1982: 14). The motif is the Annunciation of Mary, the stable of Bethlehem with a knee-bending Mary and Herod, who takes the farewell of the three wise men. In the last field the three wise men who worship the child in Mary’s Fame. Has been in two parts but has now been seen together since the end of the 1900s in the early 2000s against a green-brown linen fabric. Inscribed in the Main Catalogue 1927.
