The portrait on this plate is unidentified, but may represent Queen Caroline of England, wife of George II, as all known services with this border were made for the English market. The crosshatched ground indicates that the source was an engraving. The border scenes represent Plymouth Sound and the Chinese harbor of Whampoa, in the Pearl River.
