The duke of Bourbon’s menagerie was recorded in the dedication to Jean-Antoine Fraisse’s <em>Livre de Desseins Chinois </em>(Book of Chinese Drawings), a book that documented the decoration on the duke’s collection of Asian porcelain, lacquer, and textiles.
