The processions of infants on the drip pans are taken from engravings by the Master of the Die (act. ca. 1532) that are believed to be based on drawings by Raphael. The Labors of Hercules on the repoussé medallions on the base of one of the candlesticks are after engravings by Heinrich Aldegrever (1502-after 1555).
