SOME PRINTS DEPICTING ACTS OF THE APOSTLES IN THE BOWYER BIBLE This little selection from the 600+ prints available in the collection, assembled by Phillip Medhurst, is meant to serve as a very brief taster to The Bowyer Bible for those entirely unfamiliar with this valuable resource. The small number of incidents here represented from the Book of Acts illustrates the enormous variety of these black-and-white ink:-on-paper images. The Bowyer Bible is a grangerised copy of the Macklin Bible at Bolton Museums and Archives. 6600 prints were collected by Robert Bowyer and interleaved in an illustrated Bible creating a 45-volume large-folio production.
