Emile Gilliéron · 1200-01-01T00:00:00Z
Excavated ca. 1909 in the west slope rubbish deposit at Tiryns. This reproduction is distinct from all the others in the exhibition because it does not distinguish between restored areas and the fragments that are actually preserved. It is presented as an intact image but in fact much of the original painting is missing and Gillieron's reconstruction is based on fragments that come from a number of figures which were part of the same procession scene. The original is in the National Archaeological Museum, Athens.
