Photos by David Ash, taken at the "Manila Galleon: From Asia to the Americas" exhibit at the Asian Civilisations Museum. The exhibit displayed a variety of goods, art, and other items shipped across the Spanish Empire, between the Americas (primarily Mexico), Europe, and Asia. This particular photo set focuses on 3 specific objects, being two Feather Mosaic "paintings" (A technique developed and utilized by Mesoamerican civilizations such as the Aztec and Purepecha, which the Spanish then commissioned pieces of featuring Catholic iconography): John the Evangelist Mexico, 17th Century Feather Mosaic and Paper on Copper Daniel Leibsohn Collection Saint Anthony of Padua Mexico, 19th Century Feather mosaic on copper with paint, silver Museo Nacional de Historia, Castillo de Chapultepec, Ciudad de Mexico, Secretaria de Cultura (INAH) And and a box with an inlaid depiction of the founding myth of Tenochtitlan, the Aztec capital: Writing cabinet with the arms of Mexico City Philippines, Manila, early 17th Century Wood, bone, silver Asian Civilsations Museum 2019-00743 Object information listed as displayed on the signage at the exhibit (other sources may give different information for the same piece, as documented in my uploads here and here for the Saint John piece's century of creation, it is also probably Purepecha and made in Michoacan), minus the more detailed paragraph of additional information, which I will try to add at a later date.  This upload includes both JPG images, as well as the RAW, uncompressed CR3 files, and XMP files to store processing/edits done to the RAW files (which may be the result of pre-applied white balance etc settings David used when taking the photos: I have not gone through that all yet) I commissioned/licensed these photos as CC BY from David Ash to be uploaded to Wikimedia: At the time of writing not all images may be uploaded to Wikimedia yet, both as I may not end up uploading duplicate, blurry or out of focus files (whereas this upload contains everything) and as I would like to include specific, additional information in the description and categories etc of each file and may want to preform color correction. While the CC BY license permits anyone to upload the files, I would politely ask others to wait for me to do so, or at least attempt to contact me first (here on Archive.org, on Twitter/X at @Majora__Z etc) if it's been a while and I have not done so yet.  More information on the Manila Galleon exhibit: https://www.nhb.gov.sg/acm/whats-on/exhibitions/manila-galleon-2023
