A portrait of Pauline Mifsud Westerhof when she was a young woman living in Malta, Europe. She came to live in rural Scott County, Iowa after marrying Bob Westerhof, whose family lived on a farm north of Donahue.  She met him while she was in college in Malta, and he was stationed in the Mediterranean while serving in the Navy.  After several years of writing letters and visiting each other, they got married on December 23, 1971.
