Pink dress with at the neck, sleeves and bottom a black band with traditional motifs. The summer clothing of both men and women (and boys and girls) of the Nivch and Oroch consisted of an undershirt and a dress reaching to the knee (also called an upper shirt).\The cotton was of Chinese or Russian manufacture.\Mostly the color was blue, gray or black.\But red, white and yellow dresses also occurred.\The dresses of the women were longer than those of the men.\The women's dresses were also decorated at the hem with metal plates.\Sometimes porcelain buttons are found, as well as shells.\These probably had a protective function and could be construed as amulets.\ Such native dresses are only worn by old women in the late 20th century.\Beautifully decorated dresses incorporating unusual materials-silk and colored beads and the like-are still sometimes seen at regional folkloric festivals.‖ Cf. 1202-4 through 1202-9, 1202-268 through 1202-271.
