Part of a nun's three-piece dress set c.q. costume.‖ A bright white muslin dress.‖ Nuns cannot be admitted to the Sangha, the Buddhist monastic order. They have their heads shaved and put on the white clothing out of devotion. The nuns are usually old women who hope to accumulate an extra amount of merit through piety and doing chores in the monastery.According to the opinion of Thai people, the nun order from the time of Buddha would have died out long ago because no offspring are born.
