Party dress, festive costume of the Yucatec woman, consisting of huipil (75a) and skirt (75b), both made of artificial silk. In this strip there is a wide multicolored embroidered strip of artificial silk and around the neck piece is also a white embroidered strip of gauze, the whole called jubon. The embroidered band with all kinds of colors, with flower- and plant motives, is typical for the costume (terno) of the women from Yucatán. On simple huipiles we find them too (see series no.: 4436-78). \Bought for 130 pesos = fl. 39,-- on the market of Mérida.
