The cloth (in Spanish Sut or tzute) is woven in a hip loom with cotton and acrylic fabric. Otherwise, the cloth consists of two pieces of woven textile that have been sewn together by hand. An embroidery has been applied here. An embroidery is a decorative technique in which threads are added to the fabric after weaving.A sut or tzute is a garment that can be used for several purposes: it can serve to cover the head, shoulders, and arms during ceremonial ceremonies or as protection from the sun; to carry children or groceries in; to hold sacred objects and images of saints, store bread, and set tables during ceremonial occasions. This particular cloth is intended for daily use by a woman. The background color of the striped cloth is red. \Patzún is located in the department of Chimaltenango.
