Material: cotton and commercial embroidery thread.|Technique: three strips handwoven (hip loom) flat weave.|The three strips are stitched together with a zigzag stitch, every 11 cm. varying in colour: dark red and hard pink. On both sides of the two front and back seams, blocks have been embroidered in flat stitch, 1 cm² dark red-hard pink or dark red-orange on top of each other, the combination changing with the zigzag colour change.\The finish of the neck and armhole is made with a blanket stitch in the colours dark red and hard pink, and outlined by lines in herringbone flat stitch in the same colours: around the armholes two lines, around the neck five lines, with under the corners of the square neck points in the pattern.\On the front of the huipil oblong, horizontal blocks are embroidered: five on either side of the neck, alternating dark red with hard pink (flat stitch) and purple (flannel stitch) and four blocks below the neck: dark red with hard pink stripe, and between the blocks a chequered orange horizontal stripe (flat stitch).
