The regional differences in traditional women's clothing are great in Oman.‖ The clothing worn by women today consists of trousers (sarwal) with decorated ankle cuffs, a knee-length or calf-length dress (disdasha). This is complemented by an elongated shawl that covers head and hair. This shawl has all sorts of names, depending on the fabric used. This is a knee-length dress (dishdasha), worn by women in Oman.
