This shirt (camisa in Spanish) is woven with cotton in a hip loom. The shirt consists of fifteen pieces of woven textile that have been sewn together by machine. Furthermore the shirt has fringes at the bottom. Specific segments are decorated using the Jaspe technique (also known as ikat technique). Jaspe is a dyeing technique in buttons with which decorative motifs are produced. It involves covering specific areas of the thread (by knotting the thread at specific points) to prevent these areas from becoming coloured when the thread is dipped in the paint. When the knots are undone, after dyeing, the thread contains dyed and unpainted segments. During the weaving process, figures are formed with these threads. Further, plastic buttons have been used. \A shirt is the garment used by men to cover shoulders, torso and arms. This shirt was used daily. The background color of the shirt is white.
