Enredo made of dark blue, purple and red cotton, flat woven on a hip loom. The dark blue, purple and red stripes alternate. \The enredo consists of three strips sewn together lengthwise with a red thread. Most enredos are woven in Pinotepa de Don Luis, also for the surrounding villages, each of which prefers its own color and stripe pattern. On the basis of a colour photograph (pl. XIII, text p. 307) in Cordry it is possible to indicate in which village this enredo might have been made: Jicayán, Chayoco, Atoyac (but there is not enough red in it) and Huazolotitlan. In that case, this skirt could well have been worn with huipil no. 5390-12. The open skirt is folded over and held together with a band. The upper part of the skirt can be folded back. In some villages, until recently, only the skirt was worn, without a blouse or huipil.
