Three sample patches of fabric, two of which are knotted and two of which are dyed purple. The white cloth has 9 bindings (45a), a purple cloth has 9 bindings (45b) and a purple dyed cloth with a white projection motif consisting of 9 circles (45c). The bindings are made with cotton thread. The patches are an example of the three stages in Gara (see M6-46). The three patches show how to knot the pattern Moromoro (see M6-47).
