The cloth consists of two rectangular pieces of red cotton with white geometric figures. The pieces are sewn together lengthwise. At the top there is an elastic band in the hem. The thus formed 'dress' is pulled up under the arms. A little below the upper edge eleven little yellow wool pumpkins are attached. Long white cotton fringes hang in between and above them. About halfway the cloth there is a second horizontal row of yellow pompoms with long white cotton fringes above and in between. A pink and green pumpkin hangs from a pair of white fringes, each slightly below the yellow pumpkin. Just above the hemmed bottom edge there are white cotton fringes and at the front there are also five yellow pumpkins and on four cotton threads in between there are three pink and green pumpkins per thread. If one turns the dress around, the fringes fall much better. Usually the shawl is not sewn shut, but remains open and is tied over one shoulder and runs diagonally across the chest under the arm. These cloths with fringes are worn on festive occasions. The Sticusa-list mentions the name 'witsanti' for this skirt.
