Hand-spun cotton bag without handle, woven on a hip loom in the traditional brown and white striped pattern for Cuetzalan (see also cloth 5075-546). Along the sides and between the strips runs a thin red and blue striped line of commercial cotton. The cloth is folded in the width and sewn together with a very fine stitch. One side is straight, the other has a fringed edge that starts in a fine knot pattern. Such bags are used in women's market baskets.
