Clothes set, consisting of blouse (5069-57a), 'faja' (57b), 'soyate' (57c) and bag (57d)The blouse is handmade from undyed factory cotton. Unlike the huipil, this blouse has a round neckline, set-in sleeves with cuffs and inserts under the arms. The shoulder and neckline consist of passes on both the front and back, which are double sided for reinforcement. The front below the badge consists of two single sided parts, on which an edge of smocking has been applied. On both halves three deer and birds emerge from the red background. Two of the six deer in total are edged with purple and green wool. The smocking draws the cotton fabric together, so that little pleats appear. The back, which is unfinished, also has pleats under the badge. On both sleeves at the top there are also smocking: red background and geometrical figures. The neckline is finished at the back with a narrow embroidered border; the front is finished with embroidery only at the notch.The faja is made of a fairly hard quality cotton, which is hand spun. This handwoven belt is striped: a pink wool weft thread is used every 6 cm, leaving four stripes of two threads each. The faja is unfinished at the ends. Length and width of the faja: 2.14 x 35 cm.\If the clothing to be held up is very heavy, use is made of a belt woven from palm leaves, the soyate, which because of its rough surface has a firm grip on the garment to be held up.\Length and width of the soyate: 1.62 x 7 cm.\The bolsa or bag/bag is handwoven from hand-spun undyed cotton and colored factory wool. The bolsa consists of a long, narrow piece of woven fabric, 1.30 x 35 cm., folded in half lengthwise with the sides attached together with pink and green wool thread. The open top is hemmed on one side only. Furthermore, the bag is provided with colourful longitudinal stripes: red, pink, green, blue. At the bottom and top in width are woven stripes.
