A blue-glass bead of Roman or Early Medieval date, c. 43-700.The bead is oblate in shape, and made in a turqoise-coloured blue glass with a hold through the centre. The glass is very opaque and was probably made by drawing out from a wire; Each end of the hole (on the flattish faces of the bead) has evidence of where the bead was broken/removed from the drawing wire and rod.
