Anglo-Saxon small long brooch, in two bits. Helen Geake writes:The image linked to this record shows a cruciform brooch rather than a small-long. The cruciform brooch on the drawing has a surviving full-round top knob which should date the brooch to the fifth century.It isn't clear whether the image is correct and the brooch has been recorded wrongly, or whether the wrong image has been linked to a correct record. To enable a searcher to find this record whether they are looking for cruciforms or small-longs, the entry in the classification field has been entered as 'cruciform or small long'.
