Incomplete Middle Saxon strap-end, very unusual form, upper part split with one surviving rectangular plate pierced by rivet-hole at attachment end, and stump of missing plate, thick flattened irregular globular terminal, diameter 11mm, length 22mm (unbent). Cf. Polaroid of example from Costessey (HER 28422) and drawing of one from Stow Bardolph (HER 31513).8th – 9th century.
