Medieval/Post Medieval writing lead, crude and bent, head with squashed opposed projections and traces of incised lozengy pattern on one flat face, facetted circular-sectioned shank (with fine transverse striations) tapers gradually to rounded point. Length (unbent) 88mm. Cf. Biddle 742-7, class I.
