Leg and foot with large patch of lupus

Watercolour drawing of the right leg and foot, showing a large patch of lupus affecting mainly the inner side of the calf. The central portion is scarred over, but the edges are formed by exuberant granulations springing from a large ulcerated surface. The patient was a lady aged 68 years. The disease commenced 20 years previously, during convalescence from a severe attack of small pox.
