Excoriated and furrowed tongue

Watercolour drawing of a raw and excoriated tongue. The condition appeared to be in part due to dyspepsia. The patient was a boy. There was a sore place at the corner of the mouth, which looked as if it might have been due to secondary syphilis, but there was no other sign or history of syphilis.
