Melanotic sarcoma of the middle finger

Watercolour drawing of a hand showing a melanotic sarcoma of the middle finger. The finger was amputated but the patient died ten months after the operation with a return of the disease in the axillary glands. The growth had been noticed for four years before the operation was performed.
