Watercolour drawing of the chest of a man showing a malignant growth of the right breast. The tumour was situated immediately above the right nipple and extended from the mid-sternal line as far as the posterior fold of the axilla. It was deep purple in colour. The superficial veins were enlarged and it had ulcerated in two places. From a man, aged 46 years, who had observed the tumour for three months. As no operation was performed the exact nature of the growth could not be ascertained.
