Mönstrat ljusbrunt basstyg. Det egentliga mönstret i någon negativteknik, utsparning. Figurerna har basttygets naturfärg och deras konturer är i gråblått (smala linjer) mot en bakgrund i dovt vinrött. Inne i de ofärgade figurerna antingen prickar eller > små båglinjer i rött. Mönstringen är troligen icke färdig, då ena av figurerna endast delvis är fylld med imålade båglinjer och ännu en är helt orörd. Basttygets storlek: 48 cm x 68 cm. Troligen har figurernas konturer imålats eller iritats med hjälp av schabloner av något slag. Se. S. Kooijman: Some ritual clothing from Borneo in Dutch museums. Pp. 375f: "As to the technique applied in putting up the designs in the study of the material at issue has made clear that the first detail of the artist´s task consisted of drawing the the contours of the patterns on the lightcoloured bark-cloth. Then the background was coloured brown or red-brown." I ett brev av 4.2.1959 till museet skriver Kooijman: "I have never come across wooden stencils for decorating bark-cloth in Borneo. Judging from several literature references, however, it must be taken for sure that they have been employed. The way they were used is not mentioned as far as I know but this way may be derived from the impression givven by the patterns at issue:" Kooijman anför som skäl de markerade konturlinjerna i mönstren. Enligt Kooijmans uppsats har basttygsklädnader med liknande mönstring under senare tid endast framställts av "The Kenyah people living in the Northwestern part of Indonesian Borneo along the Upper and Middle Bulungan (Batan Koyan) river, and its tributary the Bahau."
