Watercolour and ink drawing, with oil highlights, of the knee joint from a case of tubercular synovitis. The synovial membrane is seen to be very greatly thickened and the cartilages are ulcerated. Microscopic examination of the synovial membrane showed the presence of tubercular deposits, but no tubercle bacilli could be detected.
