Ankle joint of a haemophiliac

Watercolour drawing of the ankle joint from a boy, who was a bleeder, and died from continuous haemorrhage, resulting from a cut on the lip. The synovial membrane is stained with blood, which had been extravasated into the joint and the cartilage is very thin.
