commentary on the event: Photographs from the collections of the A. M. Luther factory (later TVMK) museum. In 2004, the company Ars Projekt Ltd, TVMK (Tallinn Vineer and Furniture Combinate), signed an agreement with representatives of the factory complex for the re-design of the factory for residential quarters. By this time the historic factory was in a state of consolation, the factory museum exhibits were neglected and dispersed, in addition to this being a flood that has become part of the museum’s premises. Submitted materials also come from there. The transferor spotted the photographs by consulting the factory premises and asked the subscriber’s representative to use them in order to examine the past of the historic building complex as closely as possible. As the subscriber had no interest and desire to retain or exhibit photographs himself, the transferor considered it appropriate to transfer them to the Estonian History Museum (2014), apart from use in design. The collection consists of album excerpts (photographs are adhered to cardboard leaves) and single photographs clustered in three envelopes. The collection is bound together between the binder covers. Photo shows the transport of raw material from the A. M. Luther factory, the so-called. Luther Basin, Tallinn Mine Harbour, interior and exterior views of factory structures, plywood making and other production processes, workers and samples of products mainly 1920. late to 1930. until the end of the years. Four of the oldest photographs depict the construction of new buildings in the factory in 1912. year. The most recent photographs are from 1965 (4 pcs) depicting the events of the factory collective.
