News Corp UK is a British newspaper publisher, and a wholly owned subsidiary of the American mass media conglomerate News Corp. It is the current publisher of The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun. Owned by the billionaire Rupert Murdoch. Interview: 𝐀𝐬   𝐚   𝐤𝐢𝐝   𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭   𝐝𝐢𝐝   𝐲𝐨𝐮   𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭   𝐭𝐨   𝐛𝐞   𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧   𝐲𝐨𝐮   𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐰   𝐮𝐩 ? A farmer, from about the age of 7 I helped out on a farm in Wiltshire, next door to my grand parents house. Walking behind the tractor picking up stones as it harrowed, helping getting the cows in for milking.  I wasn’t much help and the farmer didn’t know quite what to do with me, but he was kind and always happy for me to be with him. I loved it and the connection with the earth and beautiful animals. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭   𝐝𝐨   𝐲𝐨𝐮   𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲   𝐝𝐨 ? I am a retired dental surgeon and retired self supporting priest in the Church England. 𝐖𝐡𝐲   𝐚𝐫𝐞   𝐲𝐨𝐮   𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞   𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 ? Because there is an insane inability for government and media to accept how catastrophic the effects of our carbon based economy has become. They keep saying that “everything will be alright - we have it under control. A few elderly insanely myopic billionaires control the media and the government(s). They would have us all believe that fossil fuels are ok, that hydrogen made with fossil fuels is ok, that its ok to build houses without solar panels as standard, that its ok to pour money into expanding the road system, that nature is an expendable commodity.  As a result our government does what they are told. “Promise  anything you like for a green future but DO NOTHING! “  𝐀𝐫𝐞   𝐲𝐨𝐮   𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 ?⁣ I am reluctant to admit to myself, let alone to anyone else that I am not hopeful. I dread the world that my children and grandchildren will see. The unfolding horrors are beyond imagination. This is why I intend to do everything within my power to draw attention to the insane approach of media and government. Nothing in my life is now more important. These are the defining days of my life.  Credit: João Daniel Pereira
